WASHINGTON -A federal judge ruled on Tuesday that the U.S. EPA, the Interior and Energy Departments and other agencies unlawfully froze funds under Democrats’ climate and infrastructure spending laws, Politico reported.
The judge ordered the agencies to immediately resume disbursing the money, the report added.
Judge Mary McElroy of the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island said Trump was entitled to enact his agenda but “agencies do not have unlimited authority to further a president’s agenda, nor do they have unfettered power to hamstring in perpetuity two statutes passed by Congress during the previous administration,” according to Politico.
